What it does

Everything a Muslim needs each day, and nothing more

  • Prayer times

Calculated on your device with twelve recognised methods, Shafi'i or Hanafi Asr, and correct time zones and daylight saving.

  • Adhan at every prayer

The adhan by Mishary Rashid Alafasy at each of the five prayers, scheduled on your phone. No server is involved.

  • The Quran

All 114 surahs in Uthmani script, with search in everyday Arabic, bookmarks, your reading position and adjustable text size.

  • Five reciters

Listen ayah by ayah to Abdul Basit, Al-Husary, Al-Minshawi, As-Sudais or Alafasy, with the text following along.

  • Adhkar

Morning, evening, sleep and after-prayer adhkar, each with its source and a counter that remembers your progress.

  • Qiblah

A compass that uses your phone's sensors and corrects for magnetic declination, with the exact bearing from where you are.

  • Hijri calendar

Hijri and Gregorian dates side by side, adjustable to the moon sighting where you live.

  • Home screen widgets

The next prayer with a live countdown, or all of today's times, on your Android home screen.

Private by design

Your worship is nobody else's business

Al-Muslim has no server. It cannot collect anything about you, because there is nowhere for it to go.

  • No accounts, no ads and no analytics.
  • No third-party code watching what you do.
  • Your location is used on your device only, and it is optional: you can pick a city instead.
  • Prayer times, the Quran, adhkar, the qiblah and the calendar all work offline.
  • The one time it uses the internet is to stream a recitation when you press play.
